Relocation Complete

July 1st, 2008

I moved last weekend. After living month-to-month in an apartment, it starts to get a little pricey so my roommate and I figured we should get into some cheaper housing in order to keep our cost of living down. Luckily our friend Matt had some rooms available at his condo which was just down the road.

Moving was kind of a pain. Using the Mighty Max and my car, we managed to complete the move in about 14 trips. We regret not getting a U-haul which would have made it faster and probably the same cost. The heat wasn’t helpful either. 1 hour cool downs wasn’t very efficient after a trip in 110 degree weather.

I still managed to keep my room which is nice. I can also use the awesome kitchen that it has. Gives me a greater desire to cook =P. Only complaint would probably be the heat. Since the building faces the west, I get a nice clear of the sun through the windows. Not good in Arizona. If you don’t wake up early, then good ‘ol sunshine won’t let you sleep much longer.

Now to get settled in and continue my work…

New C++ project

May 28th, 2008

Well I have decided to go back to C++ and create a 2D car racing game. I have learned a lot since I was working on my last C++ project so I think going back would be a good idea. This time I have a team with me. Nathan Austin and Sean Carrica will be joining me on the project. So far we have done a few tracks and cars on the art side. On the programming side we finished up designing the framework for the core game. Right now we are working on getting the 2D rigid body physics working correctly since an article that we found does not seem to work correctly on our game despite the multiple hours of debugging.

I think we are pretty much making our own slowly =P. It will be good to know anyways.

Goldeneye 2006 Video Uploaded

May 14th, 2008

I’ve finally uploaded another video for Goldeneye 2006. This time its all in-game footage! This video shows the majority of where I spent my time during the project, the chemical room. We wanted to basically recreate the movie so we created an elaborate scripted event to do it. Once you escape, the credits scroll which was basically the end of our mod. Enjoy!

Huck Puck!

May 4th, 2008

Well I finally completed another game. This time using XNA! It is also my first time in 3D! This video is a a bit old so there have been some fixes since then.

Argus Content Video

December 20th, 2007

The team and I managed to render a new video for project Argus. It is basically a video of our assets and of them being implemented. Unfortunately since there really wasn’t a clear level drawn out and that we were short-handed, we could not make a level in time. Our level designer was working hard on assets which we needed desperately anyway. What you actually see in the back of our test level is a block out of out a design we were going to do. It really wasn’t much to see since it is mainly just blocks in place of buildings…

check it out! It has really cool music made by our composer Jon Zuccala and by Daddy Cool haha.

Electric Fans in!

November 19th, 2007

Well, I finally got the Altima fans in. I had to cut A LOT of the plastic to get it to fit. Mainly on the left side to get the radiator hose to fit without any obstruction. I also had to snip the sides because an A/C line was on one side of the car and the battery tray was on the other.

The DIF fan controller works perfectly. I had to redo a male connectors for the t-taps because I didn’t crimp it right but now it’s nice and tight. I zip tied everything down (zip ties are awesome!) so nothing would get in the way of the fans or anything else.

Another thing was I removed this plastic container that was attached to the intake. I didn’t even know that was there. Still not sure what it was for (maybe as an oil catch can?) but its gone.

New Website!

Well it looks like my website is underway!
